At the end of 1937, due to increasing conflicts with his parents, Georg Iggersheimer was sent to Esslingen to the “Jewish Orphanage”, where he very soon felt at home. On November 10, 1938, two teachers from this school were arrested and taken to Dachau. Georg had already emigrated to the USA with his parents at that time and was thus safe.
