“I heard it more than felt it.
My grandmother lived in Bischofteiniz and we went to see grandmother’s every Sunday. Actually, I only got together with my cousins. When I was six years old, I lived with my grandmother and went to school, and on the way to school the children would sometimes say something that wasn’t so nice. But by and large I didn’t feel anything. And then the last vacation in 1938, we didn’t get together with anyone else. Dodged.”
