In 1966 Wilma Iggers, née Abeles, returned to Czechoslovakia for the first time and looked for traces of her own past in Horsovsky Tyn (Bischofteinitz). There she made contact with former classmates and was honored by the Horsovsky Tyn community as an honorary citizen. In schools she reports on her experiences before the beginning of the German occupation and the Second World War in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century. In 2004 she was honored with the Masaryk Medal by the Technical Czech Foreign Minister for her services in promoting Czech culture abroad.
